SoundBytes: Lauryn Hill, Tom Petty, Attack Attack! and more

-- Is reclusive ex-Fugee Lauryn Hill coming to Florida? This interesting blog post from the Miami New Times seems to indicate she might have a show or two up her sleeve for November in Miami.

-- Thinking of heading to the big Tom Petty/ZZ Top concert Sept. 16 at the St. Pete Times Forum? Live Nation is now offering a pretty nice deal: A four-pack of tickets for just $99. Click here to purchase.

-- Some of the most popular young bands from this summer's Warped Tour -- Attack Attack!, Pierce the Veil, Emmure, Of Mice and Men and In Fear and Faith -- are teaming up for a winter tour that'll hit Jannus Live on Dec. 8. Click here.

-- Not Warped enough for you? How about Atreyu, Blessthefall, Chiodos, Architects and Endless Hallway, Nov. 15 at the Ritz Ybor. Click here.

-- Also coming to the Ritz Ybor: David Calzado Y Su Charanga on Friday (8/27), and and R&B singer Lyfe Jennings on Oct. 10. Click here for details.

-- It's shaping up to be quite a summer for St. Petersburg's Mighty Mongo. First they win a spot on the Warped Tour; then they go and win the Ritz Ybor's Battle of the Bands competition with covers of Elton John's Rocket Man and Aerosmith's Cryin' and Walk This Way. They'll get to open for a stylistically similar national band at the Ritz during an upcoming concert. Might we suggest Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime on Nov. 12?
