SoundBytes: Lights, Further Seems Forever, The Outlaws and more

-- Hooray! Today we have news about Soundcheck's Official Celebrity Crush, Lights! Our dear Valerie, above, will be playing a headlining show on Nov. 2 at Backbooth in Orlando. (But Lights, why can't you come to Tampa? No other American city loves you like we do!) Tickets are $12-$14. Click here.

-- Speaking of official Soundcheck things, Vince Gill, Soundcheck's Official Celebrity Look-Alike, is throwing a concert to benefit Florida tourism on Sept. 25 at Choctawhatchee Bay. The Juice* has the scoop.

-- The Loaf says Pompano Beach emo group Further Seems Forever is planning a full-fledged reunion, complete with Dashboard Confessional singer Chris Carrabba. We could definitely deal with hearing Pictures of Shorelines again, so we approve this reunion.

-- The show on Dec. 7 at the Orpheum will be fun. No, seriously, it's gonna be fun. The band fun. Let's not turn this into a whole Abbott and Costello routine, okay? Fun., Steel Train and The Postelles are performing at Orpheum on Dec. 7. Tickets are $15.50. Click here.

-- This has already been extensively covered, but after Natalie Merchant broke bad on Tampa's beloved Columbia Restaurant the other night ("That's not Spanish food. The house salad looked like something in my compost bucket," she said), Columbia owner Richard Gonzmart responded in kind. “Maybe she was disappointed that she only sold 1,700 tickets," he said. Zing! Revenge is a dish best served con pollo, we guess. Click here for his full remarks.

-- Tampa Bay's own Southern rock legends, The Outlaws, are performing Oct. 9 at the State Theatre. Tickets are $15. Click here.

-- Oh noes! Al Pacino has postponed his one-night-only gig at Ruth Eckerd Hall from Nov. 19 until 2011. No date has been announced, but you can still buy tickets for $50-$150 starting Saturday. This officially frees you up to go see Anthony Bourdain at the Mahaffey Theater that night instead.
