SoundBytes: Little Dragon, Fitz and the Tantrums, Calvin Harris and more

-- This will make one of our partners-in-blogging very happy: Sweden's Little Dragon -- who have been getting lots of love from every conceivable media outlet lately -- are returning to Tampa. They'll perform on Oct. 25 at Crowbar in Ybor City. It's quite a coup for them to play Crowbar again, since they're in demand at tons of festivals and recently went out on tour with Gorillaz. Here's a review of one of their previous Crowbar shows. For details on the October show, click here.

-- One of the catchiest songs of the past year has been the retro-pop-soul jingle Moneygrabber by Fitz and the Tantrums. They put on a live show straight out of the Sharon Jones/Mark Ronson school of breaking bad. So we're totally excited that they're coming to the State Theatre on Nov. 2. Tickets are $20, and they'll go onsale Friday. Click here.

-- We gave the Straz Center props when they booked Brian McKnight. So now we'll give them props for booking another big R&B act in Tampa: Kem, with opener Ledisi. The show is Nov. 6; tickets start at $39.50. Click here.

-- The heck if we could tell you much about Vain Nightclub in Orlando. But they have one of our favorite live electonic pop-rock acts, Calvin Harris, booked on Labor Day, Sept. 5. Tickets are $31.95. Click here for details.

-- Metalcore fans will love this one: Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Sleeping with Sirens, Attilaand Memphis May Fire, Nov. 16 at the State Theatre. Tickets are $16. Click here.

-- The performance times and autograph signings for the Uproar Festival on Sept. 3 at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre have been announced. So if you only want to see Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Bullet For My Valentine or any of the other artists on the bill, click here to plan your schedule.
