-- Soul singer Mayer Hawthorne has played Orlando plenty in recent years, but he always seems to skip Tampa Bay. No longer! Hawthorne and his band, The Country, will play the State Theatre on May 7. Tickets are $15, and will go onsale this Friday.

-- American Idol's James Durbin will headline this year's Pet-A-Palooza, March 11 at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Tickets are just $5. Click here.

-- Fun fact: The Tony Award-winning musical Memphis broke all kinds of records over the weekend at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Over eight performances from Feb. 7-12, the show grossed a record $772,046.00 with an attendance of 14,104, both all-time tops for the venue.
