-- Above you see former Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones, who stopped by Jackson's Bistro in Tampa on Sept. 16. Tbt* paparazzo Luis Santana was also there, and he snapped this photo and a whole bunch more. Check out more Kaya Jones photos on Facebook.

-- Speaking of Jackson's Bistro: They're starting to try to book bigger and bigger acts every Friday night. We've already seen Mims and Kaya Jones. On Sept. 30, the one and only Tone Loc will bring his Funky Cold Medina to Jackson's. And on Oct. 7, Tyga will pop into the club after his performance with Chris Brown at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre. For details on both shows, click here.

-- Oh, that sneaky Hard Rock, always booking shows when we're not looking. Pop-star-in-the-making Mike Posner (Cooler Than Me) will perform at the Hard Rock Cafe on Oct. 14 (technically he won't go on until about 1 a.m., but you get the idea). Tickets are $15-$20. Click here.

-- This might be the coolest after party we've seen in Tampa Bay for a while: On Saturday, following the Blink-182/My Chemical Romance show at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre, Blink's Travis Barker (!) as well as Matt and Kim (!!!!!!) will be spinning DJ sets at the Kennedy in Tampa. What the what? Click here for the details.

-- So it's looking like this Skrillex show on Dec. 16 at the Ritz Ybor is going to be the hottest ticket of the end of the year, right? It's already sold out.

-- If you can't get into Skrillex, maybe you can at least get in to see Mimosa, who will perform at the Ritz on Nov. 22. Tickets start at $15, and they go onsale Friday. Click here to get 'em.

-- One of the best bay area music success stories in recent years, Have Gun, Will Travel, will release their new album, Mergers & Acquisitions, on Nov. 1. And starting Friday, it'll be available for pre-order via Suburban Home Records. Click here for details.

-- Matisyahu is lapping himself! He has a show booked for Dec. 31 at the Straz Center. Now he's already planning his NEXT trip to Tampa Bay -- a gig March 1 at the University of South Florida. Click here for details

-- Can't say we totally loved David Bazan's set opening for Jimmy Eat World in February at the Ritz Ybor. But we know how influential the Pedro the Lion frontman is to some of Tampa Bay's top young bands, so it's plenty noteworthy that he's coming to Ybor City's Crowbar on Nov. 30. Tickets are $10-$13. Click here.

-- Coming to Fubar in downtown St. Pete: Circle Takes The Square, on Oct. 29. Tickets are $8. Click here.

-- Rapper Webbie is scheduled to perform Nov. 23 at the State Theatre. For info, call (941) 730-7344.

-- Get ready to get metalled: Unearth, Chimaira, Skeletonwitch and Molotov Solution will perform at the State Theatre on Nov. 26. Tickets are $20. Click here.

-- On Oct. 6, you can bid on guitars autographed by Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, Blake Shelton and many more during an auction at the Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa. There's a suggested donation of $7-$10, benefitting the Angelus. The auction runs from 7 to 10 p.m. For details, click here.

-- Jim Bennett, the controversial station manager for WMNF-88.5 FM, has suddenly resigned for personal reasons.

-- A benefit for slain Orlando musician Ralph Ameduri will take place Oct. 23 in Orlando. Click here.

-- Amy Poehler isn't a singer, but we'll take any excuse to link to this interview with the Parks and Recreation star by our colleague Eric Deggans.

-- Ticket sales for John Legend's Dec. 13 performance at the Mahaffey Theatre have been pushed back to Oct. 1.

-- Come back to Tampa! Please!

-- Finally, congrats to all the local artists who received Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Awards this week, including Marksmen, Sleepy Vikings, Geri X, Auto!Automatic!!, the Living Arches, Feral Babies and many more. And congratulations to the excellent Suburban Apologist for winning Best Local Music Site. "Apart from cltampa.com/music, there are few, if any, other sites in town that cover the Bay area music scene so thoroughly." Uh, sure, why not!
