SoundBytes: Newsboys, Jay-Z, Charlie-Palooza and more




-- Winter Jam, the largest annual Christian Music tour, is coming to the St. Pete Times Forum on Jan. 16, according to co-headliners Newsboys, above. Also on the bill: Third Day, NewSong, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, Sidewalk Prophets, Robert Pierre and Revive. Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. Click here for all the details.

-- Charlie-Palooza, Charlie Daniels' big annual fundraiser at the Hard Rock for The Angelus, is returning on Dec. 3-5, with a big free country and southern rock concert from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 5. The lineup: Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Confederate Railroad, Lee Brice, Wiley Fox, Jason Young, N-Kahootz and Suite Caroline. The concert is free, but some VIP passes (which include a chance to meet Charlie, plus food and beverages) are on sale for $50. Go here for all the details.

-- Jay-Z is not bringing his "BP3 Tour" to Tampa, but he will be at Sunrise's BankAtlantic Center on Feb. 20. Click here for details.

-- RJD2, the producer/DJ who's best known for A Beautiful Mine, a.k.a. the Mad Men theme song, is coming to Crowbar on Jan. 14. Ticket price hasn't been determined. Click here for details.

-- Miami's Awesome New Republic are playing at Crowbar Tuesday night; tickets are $5. BUT FIRST, at 8 p.m. they're playing a free in-store set at Vinyl Fever in Tampa. Click here for the details.
