SoundBytes: No Age, Eisley, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi and more
-- One of the highlights of working on this Skipper's Smokehouse story was seeing great photos of headlining artists from years ago. Skipper's brass still has photos of a teenage Derek Trucks and a much younger Susan Tedeschi performing there years and years ago. This, of course, was years before they got hitched and became the first couple of the blues. On Dec. 29, you can see them together when they perform at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets are $25-$69.50, and they go onsale Friday. Click here.
-- Are we crazy, or was there a point a few years ago when people thought Eisley might be the next big thing? Maybe we dreamed that. At any rate, Eisley will be at Crowbar on Oct. 15. Tickets are $14. Click here.
-- And if you feel like getting down and bluesy with it: The Lee Boys, Stanton Moore Trio with Anders Osborne and Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band are all coming to Crowbar, on Oct. 23, Oct. 29 and Dec. 12, respectively. Click each date for more details.
