SoundBytes: Owl City, Ed Sheeran, Arj Barker and more

-- In September, Orlando's Beacham Theatre is getting two pop concerts on back-to-back nights that Tampa Bay fans might wish were coming here: Owl City on Sept. 7, and Ed Sheeran, above, on Sept. 8. Owl City, you know (and are likely sick of, thanks to Fireflies). Singer-songwriter Sheeran (think Jason Mraz meets KT Tunstall) is a star in England, and he has his own fans here, as we saw when he opened for Snow Patrol at Jannus Live in March. Click here for info on both shows.

-- Down the road, Motion City Soundtrack are also coming to the Beacham in Orlando. Tickets are $20-$25. Click here.

-- Flight of the Conchords fans, here's your chance to see Dave in action. Comic Arj Barker, who played Bret and Jemaine's pal on the HBO series, is coming to the Improv in Tampa on Sept. 13-16. He's also an accomplished comic in his own right, and he's developed a huge following in Australia. Tickets are $15-$17. Click here for details.

-- Lil Jon is bringing his DJ act back to Tampa Bay. He'll be spinning at the Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa on July 20. Click here.

-- Nonpoint and Eye Empire are playing the State Theatre on Sept. 1. Tickets are $15. Click here.

-- Delightful Cincinnati indie rockers Bad Veins are returning to Ybor City with a show at New World Brewery on Aug. 15. Tickets are $8. Click here.

-- Acclaimed Orlando hip-hop out fit Solillaquists of Sound will perform at Crowbar on Aug. 10. $12-$15. Click here.

-- The 5th Dimension with vocalist Florence LaRue will perform at the Largo Cultural Center on Jan. 12. Tickets are $34.50-$44.50.
