SoundBytes: Parallels, Pure Prarie League, Langerado and more

-- Indie synth-pop outfit Parallels, above, are worth keeping an eye on, having shared stages with the likes of Florence and the Machine, Broken Social Scene and Crystal Castles. Good, then, to see that they're coming to Crowbar on May 15. Tickets are $10. Click here

-- Whoa hey, what's all this then? After a two-year hiatus, the Langerado Music Festival in Sunrise, one of Florida's biggest and most eclectic music festivals, will return this Oct. 8 and 9. No bands yet, but we'll keep you posted.

-- What do Snoop Dogg and L. Ron Hubbard have in common? Lots of things, we're sure, but one in particular: They'll be one of the big reasons Clearwater will be packed this Saturday.

-- They put on a hell of a show opening for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals last week at the State Theatre. And on May 20, blues-rockers Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights will return to St. Petersburg, at the Local 662. Tickets are $10. Click here.

-- Pure Prairie League and Firefall will bring their old-time country-roots-folk to Clearwater's Capitol Theatre on May 20. Tickets are $39, and they go onsale Friday (3/11) at noon. Click here.

-- Returning to Tampa Bay: Awesome New Republic, April 20 at Fly Bar in downtown Tampa. No cover, dawg. Click here.

-- A Foo Fighters documentary is coming to theaters nationwide ... but the closest one to us is Bradenton. Bummer.

-- After nearly 40 years, Disney World is ending its Grad Nite party and concert for teens. Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block are among the acts who've played there.
