SoundBytes: Queensryche, George Thorogood, Chromeo and more

-- That's Vince Neil hanging out at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino following Wednesday night's Motley Crue/Poison concert at the St. Pete Times Forum. We like him better when he's standing in front of flames

-- Prog-metal pioneers Queensryche will visit Ruth Eckerd Hall on Nov. 20. Tickets are $40.50-$63. Click here.

-- The Supervillians are returning to Jannus Live. The show is Aug. 20, and one of tbt*'s 2011 Ultimate Local Bands, Mighty Mongo, will open the show. Tickets are just $5. Click here.

-- Who do you love? How about George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, who will come to Ruth Eckerd Hall Nov. 29. Click here for details.

-- This sounds like a fun reason to drive to Orlando: Fancy Footwork dance-rockers Chromeo are coming to the Beacham Theater on Sept. 21. Opening up will be Mayer Hawthorne and the Country. Tickets are $20-$25. Click here.

-- Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark is hard to spell, so just call 'em OMD when you check out their long-awaited North American tour on Sept. 17 at the Beacham Theater in Orlando. Tickets are $25-$30. Click here. And Stuck in the '80s has a full list of OMD tour dates.

-- It's too soon to tell whether Tampa will be in for a repeat of last year's blissful Indie Rocktoberfest, but Orlando's looking pretty good. In addition to previously announced shows by Mates of State, Tapes 'n' Tapes and Friendly Fires, another awesome show was just announced: M83 and Active Child, Nov. 2 at the Social. (Yes, we know, that's November, not October. Don't harsh our buzz.) Tickets are $15. Click here.

-- Really interesting essay here on the upcoming, mysterious Orlando Calling festival. This thing could really be huge.
