SoundBytes: The Script, DJ Lethal, JLS and more

-- The Script were just in town to play an acoustic set at the Venue. Now you can see the full band when the Irish pop-rock trio tries to Breakeven at Jannus Live on Oct. 30. Tickets are $25, and they go onsale Friday. Click here for details.

-- Before Limp Bizkit takes the stage at 98 Rockfest on Saturday, their very own DJ Lethal will perform a guest DJ set Friday night at Jackson's Bistro in Tampa. Click here for details.

-- JLS, a boy band who once finished second on Britain's X Factor, will be performing an intimate acoustic set at the new 93.3-FLZ performance space in Tampa, and they'll also be participating in a video chat. It all goes down at 1 p.m. May 3. Click here to win tickets or for more info.

-- Don't forget, the Florida Music Festival, featuring more than 200 bands in and around downtown Orlando, is this weekend, starting tonight. Headliners include Anberlin, Less Than Jake and Rusted Root. Lots of Tampa Bay bands on the bill, including Set It Off, Select Start, Sons of Hippies, Johnny Cakes and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypso and Not Tonight Josephine.

-- How cool is this? The Tampa Bay area school that gets the most kids to sign a pledge to not text and drive wins a free concert by We the Kings.

-- How can the Hold Steady announce a summer tour, but not include a date in Ybor City? You'll have to catch them on one of two nights at The Social in Orlando on May 22 or 23.

-- If you like Murder By Death this weekend at the Orpheum, check out this late concert announcement: Bluegrass group Cornmeal next Thursday, April 29, at the Orpheum. Tickets are $8. Click here for details.

-- Another Orpheum show: Lovedrug on June 13. Tickets are $13.50. See here.

-- Aw, yeah! We got DJ battles this weekend at Crowbar and the Odessa Martial Arts Club!
