SoundBytes: Shawn Colvin, Dick Dale, Rick Ross and more




-- We're not gonna front: Back in high school, Sunny Came Home was our JAM, son. So we're stoked to see that Shawn Colvin is coming to Clearwater's Capitol Theatre for "An Evening with Grammy Award Winner Shawn Colvin" on Aug. 12. -- Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon, above, is coming to the State Theatre. He'll be performing on May 25 alongside a slew of talented Tampa hip-hop scenesters: Dynasty, Infinite Skillz, Sandman, BC and the Rukus. Tickets are $17-$20. Click here.

-- And he's not a rapper, but he is a surf-rock legend: Dick Dale is coming to the State Theatre, too. The man behind that infamous Pulp Fiction riff will perform at the State on June 11. Tickets are $20. Click here for details.

-- Back to hip-hop: We've got a flyer here that says Rick Ross will be at Dolce Vita at the Channelside Imax for a party on May 6. Expect him to perform one or two songs. Also on the bill (tentatively) are DJ Nasty, DJ Khaled, DJ Shizim, DJ Kutmaster and Lil Kee. Tickets are currently $40 for women and $50 for guys.
