SoundBytes: She Wants Revenge, Peter Murphy, Zach Braff and more

-- Goth-rock pioneer Peter Murphy of Bauhaus is returning to Tampa Bay. This time he'll be performing at the Ritz Ybor on Nov. 12 alongside one of Bauhaus's sonic descendents, elecro-gothsters She Wants Revenge, above, who we bet would be simply ECSTATIC about being referred to as "electro-gothsters." Tickets are $24.50, and they go onsale 9/10. Click here.

-- Another mini Warped Tour is coming to Orpheum: Of Mice and Men, iwrestledabearonce, I See Stars, Abandon All Ships and That's Outrageous. The show is Nov. 12, tickets go onsale Friday (9/9) for $17-$19. Click here.

-- Bill Edwards is a major local music honcho. He resurrected The Club at Treasure Island. He helped resurrect Jannus Live. He's planning to resurrect the Mahaffey Theater. So can he now resurrect BayWalk? And if so, will he bring any concert components to the troubled complex? Katherine Snow Smith reports.

-- Check it out: Tampa Bay hip-hop heavyweights Laws, Mason Caine, Mark Victor, the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and Wild 94.1's Orlando have teamed up to record a new Tampa Bay Buccaneers anthem, Football's Back. Click here to listen.

-- A fight that was shaping up as perhaps the most important legal battle in the history of music -- Pasco County's Bellamy Brothers claiming Britney Spears ripped them off with her song Hold It Against Me -- has apparently been settled. TMZ reports the Bellamys are acknowledging that Hold It Against Me is NOT a ripoff of their own hit song, If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me). Click here for the scoop.

-- We haven't mentioned this yet on Soundcheck because other outlets are doing a nice job of covering it, but Grammy winner and indie-music hero Zach Braff has been visiting his brother in St. Petersbug this past week. He's been tweeting about the Dali Museum, some unnamed water park, and the Pier. Yes, city of St. Petersburg, Zach Braff visited the Pier! This means it's worth saving!
