SoundBytes: Sleigh Bells, Enter Shikari, Dick Dale and more
-- Remember Sleigh Bells' recent concert in Tampa? It's all over the interwebs. The New York Times was hanging out at the Ritz Ybor with the band for this profile (you can also stream their new album there). Pitchfork has a lengthy report from the band's Florida tour. And Spin has this exclusive gallery of photos from the gig. As the band prepares to hit Saturday Night Live this weekend, and will soon be on the cover of Spin, we're proud to say we knew 'em back when.
-- Enter Shikari, one of our 2011 Warped Tour bands to watch, is coming to the State Theatre on May 9. Click here.
-- The University of South Florida has added Chaz Bono to its University Lecture Series on April 17. Click here.
-- Surf-rock legend Dick Dale will return to the State Theatre on April 20. So, you know, clear your head from its 4/20 daze and get ready for some Misirlou. Tickets are $20. Click here.
-- Star dubstep DJ Pretty Lights is NOT coming to Crowbar. But a group from his record label is. The Pretty Lights Music Tour, with Gramatik and Break Science and Paul Basic, will be at Crowbar on March 23.
-- The dates for this year's DeLuna Fest in Pensacola have been announced: Sept. 21-23. No bands have been announced (though there's an awful lot of Twitter buzz about the Foo Fighters...) Starting March 1, discounted early-bird tickets will be available for $99.95. We attended DeLuna Fest 2011, and can honestly say it was a fantastic festival, one of our musical highlights of the year. It's a lovely setting. If you're thinking about hitting a festival in 2012, you should think about making it this one.

50 Concerts
Why would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
