Surfer.blood

-- Surfer Blood, above, were supposed to come to Tampa's Crowbar this spring, but it never happened, for some reason. But at last, perhaps we'll have closure. The West Palm Beach buzz band is coming to the State Theatre with the Drums on Sept. 19, according to No Clubs. Tickets are $16 and they go onsale Saturday.

-- Calling all hellbillies: Hank III and Assjack are coming to the State Theatre on Aug. 28. Tickets are $20. Click here. The night before (Aug. 27), enjoy the Hillbilly Hellfest with Cash O'Riley and the Downright Daddies at the State. Tickets are $12. Click here.

-- Why did they even bother having the Warped Tour, when Motion City Soundtrack, Say Anything and Saves The Day were going to go on tour this fall together anyway? The pop-punk megatour will hit Orlando's House of Blues on Nov. 17. Click here for details.

-- Hey, our old pal Daddy Yankee is coming to the House of Blues in Orlando on Aug. 14. Tickets are $45. Click here.

-- And with no Lilith Fair holding her back, Erykah Badu is coming to Orlando's House of Blues on Aug. 15. Tickets are $37.50. Click here.

-- Unfortunately, it looks like Gorillaz are NOT coming to Florida this fall. Hell, they're not even coming to Georgia. The closest date is either Washington D.C. or somewhere in Texas.

-- Want to hang out with Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy? He's performing a short acoustic set at the 93.3 Best Buy Musical Instruments Theatre on Friday, shortly before he opens for Ke$ha and Rihanna at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre. Click here to win tickets.

-- NineBullets.net is back in the concertmaking game. This time, they're bringing Micah Schnabel (Two Cow Garage), Brandon Barnett (Ghost Shirt) and Devon Vlasin (The Takers) to the Emerald on Aug. 14. Click here.

-- Be sure to check out this week's Ritz Ybor Battle of the Bands show on Thursday night. Why? Because you'll get to hear the Basiqs and Shane Meade and the Sound cover songs by Madonna, that's why.

-- Amazing job by Elysium and company, who raised $1,500 for oil-spill-related charities at Saturday's benefit show at Fubar.

-- Finally: Want to win free tickets to a sing-along version of Grease on Wednesday at the Veterans 24 in Tampa? Our sister site, Things To Do, is giving away a slew of free ticket four-packs. Click here to find out how to get them.
