SoundBytes: Toubab Krewe, Deicide, Imagine Dragons and more

-- AWOLNATION has just announced a new tour, and it'll bring them to the Ritz Ybor for the second time this year. The show is Oct. 24, and opening it will be Imagine Dragons, who just wowed us at the 97X Backyard BBQ, and Zeale. Tickets are $20; click here.

-- One legendary Tampa death metal band, Cannibal Corpse, already has a show scheduled for this summer. Now there's anotherone. Deicide will perform at the Orpheum on July 27. Tickets are $20. Click here. C'mon, Morbid Angel, you're up next.

-- Check out Stuck in the '80s' review of Richard Marx's acoustic performance at Magic 94.9's Florida Central Credit Union Theatre in St. Petersburg.

-- Why is Bon Iver, who performs Thursday at the Straz Center, so popular? Sean Daly offers five reasons.

-- 97X's next big free show: Chevelle, on July 1 at Jannus Live. Click here for info.

-- Jannus Live's Facebook page also says Toubab Krewe will be there on July 20.

-- We're still keeping an eye on this Ron Paulapalooza festival that's supposed to (maybe) take place somewhere in Tampa Bay around the time of the Republican National Convention in August. The latest, from this story: "The festival is meant to be inclusive, and organizers would welcome the participation of other Republican leaders. Certainly the entertainment sounds diverse. Organizers have announced no names yet, but promise everything from stand-up comedy to book-signings to documentaries. The music could include classic rock and country, but also grunge, punk and hip-hop." Interesting!
