SoundBytes: Travie McCoy, Wisin and Yandel, Michael Tolcher and more

-- Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy, above, is joining the Rihanna/Ke$ha tour that hits the Ford Amphitheatre on July 30. Upgrade or more of the same? Discuss.

-- Despite the fact that we're now BFFs with Daddy Yankee, we confess, we don't know much about reggaeton superstars Wisin and Yandel. But we're gonna have to get familiar, because the bestselling, Grammy-winning duo is coming to the St. Pete Times Forum on July 25. Tickets are $40.25, $60.25 and $89.25, and they go onsale Friday. Based on this description, they sound like Puerto Rico's answer to the Black Eyed Peas, selling out both Madison Square Garden and L.A.'s Staples Center. Click here for details.

-- This show sneaked up on us: Singer-songwriter Michael Tolcher, who  has toured with artists like Maroon 5 and Dave Matthews Band, and has landed music on Scrubs and other shows , is playing Saturday night at the Hideaway Cafe in St. Pete. The show is being recorded, too. Tickets are $25. Click here for details.

-- Weirdball experimental-psychedelic Euro group The Legendary Pink Dots are coming to Orpheum in Ybor City on Nov. 6. Tickets are $17.50-$19.50. Click here for details.

-- What's the opposite of South by Southwest? North by Northeast, natch. It's going on as we speak in Toronto, with artists like Eagles of Death Metal, Warpaint, De La Soul, Best Coast ... and Tampa's own Sleepy Vikings! Congrats, guys. Check out this nice review they just got from the well-read blog
