SoundBytes: Yellowman, Electric Six, Sick Of It All and more

-- In case you missed it, St. Pete's fallen Idol, Michael Lynche, made the rounds Thursday in his hometown. Eric Deggans followed along. Here's a recap.

-- Everybody Zungguzungguguzungguzeng! Reggae legend Yellowman is coming to the State Theatre on June 24. Tickets are $15. Click here

-- Oh, the hipsterdom! Memoryhouse, Twin Sister, MillionYoung and more are performing at Crowbar on Aug. 19. (We do kinda like Memoryhouse, though.) Click here.

-- So ... many ... hipsters ... Two days after Yeasayer hits the State Theatre, Electric Six and the Constellations will perform there on Oct. 6. Tickets are $16. Click here.

-- For those who aren't into arty disco psychedelia, try one of these other State Theatre shows: The Thrash and Burn Tour (Born of Osiris, Asking Alexandria, Kittie) on Aug. 5, or Sick of It All and the Street Dogs on Sept. 9.

-- You know who else is coming to town? Friggin' Anthony Bourdain from No Reservations, on Nov. 19 at the Mahaffey Theater! He's food, yes, but he's also punk rock, is he not? Click here.

-- And lest we get too cocky about the artists we ARE getting in Tampa Bay: The Pixies, Arcade Fire, Robyn, Chromeo, Joanna Newsom and Belle and Sebastian are touring, but not in Florida. Hey, screw you cats -- at least we got Bieber!

-- He may have canceled his performance at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors show on Monday, but Tampa's own Plies is talking to Us magazine (!) about his new album, Goon Affiliated, and his desire to work with Susan Boyle. Stars: They're just like us!
