St. Pete musicians gathering Friday for Haiti benefit at First Unity

Another day, another Haiti relief benefit concert in Tampa Bay.

This time, a group of Latin, jazz and folk talents are gathering at 6:15 p.m. Friday at the First Unity of St. Petersburg campus at 460 46th Ave. N, St. Pete: Kevin Wilder (above), Jennifer Real, Manny Lopez, Gail Silverman and the local drumming ensemble Soulfire, among others.

The event is free, but any amount you care to donate will be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go to International Medical Corps, Save the Children and the Best Friends Animal Society. And all proceeds from any purchases you make from 6 to 10 p.m. at the on-site bookstore will go to relief efforts.

Feel free to make a night of it -- the church's on-site restaurant, Spice Routes, is a killer little soup-and-salad cafe, and it'll be open for dinner. Click here to check out Laura Reiley's recent review.
