Strawberry Festival lineup: The Band Perry, Hank Williams Jr., Reba McEntire playing Plant City in 2012

band.perry_.jpg

If you can't wait for Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw to hit Raymond James Stadium next summer, fear not -- you've always got the Strawberry Festival to tide you over.

The lineup for the 2012 festival, coming March 1-11, was announced Monday, and it contains some huge veteran names (Hank Williams Jr., Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Lee Greenwood) as well as some of the hottest young artists around (The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Josh Turner, Easton Corbin). And as always, there are a couple of non-country curveballs thrown into the mix (Demi Lovato, Air Supply, TobyMac). Other performers include Gretchen Wilson, Brenda Lee, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Gatlin Brothers, Crystal Gayle, the JaneDear Girls, Felix Cavalier's Rascals, Louise Mandrell, the Charlie Daniels Band, Rodney Atkins and Allstar Weekend.

After they won three Country Music Association awards last week -- including Single of the Year and New Artist of the Year -- expect The Band Perry, above, to be this year's Lady Antebellum or Taylor Swift, the hot young act that fills the festival grounds early. Sean Daly's got a full preview and analysis of the 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival concert lineup; click here to read more.

50 Concerts

50rockWhy would anyone voluntarily attempt to see 50 concerts at 50 different venues in a single summer? Jay Cridlin shrugged and thought: Eh, why not.
