Tampa Bay singers Shannon Magrane, Jeremy Rosado are 'American Idol' finalists
In years past, we've always happily ceded American Idol coverage to our pal Eric Deggans, who does a tremendous job keeping tabs on that show, which means we don't have to. And we'll do that this year, too. But it's worth noting here, for the record, that two Tampa Bay singers, high schooler Shannon Magrane of Tampa and Valrico's Jeremy Rosado, have advanced as finalists in the Top 13. Jennifer Lopez went out of her way to preserve Rosado's status in the finals, growing weepy after his performance of Carrie Underwood's I Know You Won't.
We'll keep you somewhat posted on their progress, but for the best coverage of these two local musicians doing good, it's best to follow Eric's Feed blog. Who knows? Maybe this'll finally be the year a Tampa Bay resident goes where Syesha Mercado and Michael Lynche couldn't -- the victor's circle of American Idol.
