Ticket Window: Radiohead, Radiohead, Radiohead and Radiohead
Sorry about that. It's just that we're FREAKING OUT JUST A LITTLE about Radiohead tickets going on sale this Saturday.
Folks at the St. Pete Times Forum tell us they've already been getting lots of calls about the band's Feb. 29 show in Tampa, which makes sense -- Radiohead fans tend to be a little obsessively nerdy about the band (certainly not us, of course; definitely not). So while this show may not actually sell out the Forum, a la Taylor Swift, we do expect the best seats to go quickly. This is, after all, the second show on Radiohead's North American tour, and some hardcore fans will be coming in from around the country. No, we're not kidding.
If you're the type who doesn't trust Ticketmaster to give you good seats the second they go onsale (we've been burned before), you might want to hit the Forum box office at noon on Saturday. But we can tell you that it's general admission standing-room-only on the floor, so if you don't absolutely need a SEAT, you should be able to get good floor access even after the on-sale date. At least we think so.
(Okay. Deep breath. We're still three months away. Must calm down.)
Of course, wouldn't you know it, this happens to be one of the biggest weeks for concert tickets going onsale in the Tampa Bay area, with lots of amazing announcements. In addition to Radiohead, there's also: Cee Lo Green (Dec. 28, Mahaffey Theater), John Pinette (Jan. 14, Tampa Theatre), Mat Kearney (Jan. 26, Ritz Ybor), Kelly Clarkson (Feb. 21, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Needtobreathe (Feb. 26, Ritz Ybor), Dropkick Murphys (March 5, Ritz Ybor), Henry Rollins (March 10, Capitol Theatre), The Naked and Famous (March 28, State Theatre), Pop Goes the Rock by Cirque Dreams (April 10, Mahaffey Theater), Rammstein (April 21, St. Pete Times Forum), The Fab Four (May 4, Straz Center) and Il Divo (June 15-16, Straz Center).
