Not to get ahead of ourselves, but we're looking at a pretty solid weekend of music around New Year's Eve, with local shows by Matisyahu, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Donna the Buffalo, JJ Grey and Mofro, Gloria Gaynor and Smash Mouth, above. So we've got that to look forward to at the end of December.

Tickets to Smash Mouth (Dec. 29 at the Hard Rock Cafe) go onsale this week, as do tickets to the following Tampa Bay concerts: L.A. Guns (Dec. 3, State Theatre), The Laurie Berkner Band (Dec. 18, Ruth Eckerd Hall), Colin Quinn (Jan. 13, Mahaffey Theater), In Flames with Trivium (Jan. 17, Ritz Ybor), Richard Thompson Electric Trio (Feb. 3, Tampa Theatre) and Tommy Emmanuel (Feb. 23, Straz Center).
