Tom Green coming to the Tampa Improv
Tom Green is coming to Tampa.
Lest you think we're abandoning our musical roots by delving into the world of comedy, let us remind you that Green was at one time somehow the biggest star on MTV, back when the "M" stood for music and not Montag. He once made the cover of Rolling Stone. And he also was name-checked in Eminem's The Real Slim Shady, which might be the comedy world's biggest contribution to pop music since Chris Rock's No Sex (In The Champagne Room).
Oh, and let's not forget this all-time musical gem, which reached No. 1 on Total Request Live, back when that was a thing that anyone cared about.
Anyway, the moose-humping, cancer-surviving, Drew-divorcing star of Road Trip and Freddy Got Fingered is coming to the Tampa Improv on June 18-20. Tickets are a surprisingly not-outrageous $22-$24. Click here for details. (No word on whether he'll be joined by Glenn Humplick, but we can dream, can't we?)
We'll be honest here: We probably watched every episode of The Tom Green Show back in college. But for the life of us, we can't remember why.
