Tonight marks the final installment of Wide aWoke Wednesdays, the monthly live talk show and forum on issues in the African-American community that has been held around Tampa for 2-1/2 years. And it should be a lively one.

The Stomp The Yard Fest will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the University of South Florida Alumni Center's Traditions Hall. Performers include the All In The Family Mime Cuzins, above; the USF African Students Association Dance Squad; and the M&K Dance Troop.

Wide aWoke founder Motown Maurice Jeoffroy has something up his sleeve for early 2010 -- a successor of sorts to Wide aWoke Wednesdays -- that he plans to announce at tonight's show. Until then, consider Wednesday night's show the end of a brief, enlightening era.
