Tracy Lawrence, Switchfoot, OneRepublic added to Strawberry Festival lineup

Okay, help us out here.

Tracy Lawrence, we get. The Florida Strawberry Festival is primarily a country showcase, and Lawrence is a bona fide country singer (if perhaps a little past his sell-by date) with hits like Alibis and If The Good Die Young.

Switchfoot ... well, that's a little more unlikely, although the band's Christian leanings seem to fit in well with artists like Michael W. Smith (who's also on the Strawberry Festival Bill). Plus, it doesn't seem like Switchfoot is too interested in turning down any paying gigs anytime soon.

But OneRepublic? A band whose biggest hit, Apologize, was a collaboration with Tibmaland?

There seems to be some debate online about whether they're a Christian band -- the consensus seems to be they're a band of Christians who play primarily secular music -- but they will be sharing a bill with Switchfoot and Smith at the Strawberry Festival, so that must be it.

The point here is: All three artists were added to the Strawberry Festival lineup, and OneRepublic is the only one we're having trouble wrapping our minds around. Please, PLEASE, organizers, invite Timbaland to be part of the performance, too. We'd pay to see that.

Tracy Lawrence plays March 12; tickets are $10-$15. Switchfoot and OneRepublic play at 3:30 p.m. March 6; tickets are $15-$20. The updated Florida Strawberry Festival entertainment schedule is after the jump.
