Tracy Morgan coming to the Straz Center in Tampa

If 30 Rock has lost a little off its fastball in the past couple of years, it'd be tough to blame Tracy Morgan.

Sure, it's been surpassed by the likes of Modern Family and Parks and Recreation. But Morgan is as weirdly compelling as he was when 30 Rock launched. This season, his character, Tracy Jordan, won an Oscar for his performance in the Precious-like indie drama Hard To Watch:Based off the book 'Stone Cold Bummer' by Manipulate, which is getting him closer and closer to that elusive EGOT.

Maybe a Tony is next in line, because Morgan is returning to the stage. He'll bring his stand-up act to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts on June 4, according to the venue. Tickets start at $24.50, and go onsale March 18. For details, keep an eye out here.

An official release about the gig says, "This show contains adult content and is intended for mature audiences." Which, y'know ... duh.

Also, if Tracy's not your thing, we would be remiss if we didn't mention that a member of Tracy Jordan's onscreen posse, Kevin "Dot Com" Brown, is coming to the Tampa Improv March 17-20. Click here.
