Tyler Perry's 'Madea's Big Happy Family' coming to the USF Sun Dome in Tampa

We now take a break from bringing you the latest and greatest Tampa Bay concert news to delve into the world of Hollywood play-acting.

Blockbuster movie and stage mogul Tyler Perry is coming to Tampa, in the guise of ... you guessed it ... Madea, America's favorite drag-wearing grandmother.

Perry has announced that his newest stage show, Madea's Big Happy Family, is coming to the USF Sun Dome on Sept. 30. Tickets are a pricey $55-$65, but you can still expect this to be a ginormous show. I mean, after all, how often do you get to see TYLER PERRY playing MADEA??!?

(What's that? Pretty much every year at the movies, you say? Oh, okay, never mind.)

"This tour started in January and we have been filling theatres and arenas all over the country," Perry writes on his website. "I wish I had more time to go to more cities but I don't (studio stuff), so just know that if you can, you should be there to witness this play. I promise you will leave feeling better than when you came in."

Tickets go onsale this Friday; click here to purchase. And click here for details on the show.
