UPDATE: Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, more country stars coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa
Fear not. Shelton's got you covered.
The country superstar and reality TV chair-swiveler is coming to Tampa's 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Aug. 30, according to his website. Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer will open the show. Tickets won't go onsale to the general public until March, but Shelton's site says this concert will be part of Live Nation's annual "Country Megaticket" package, which allows fans to buy tickets to shows by country's top talents.
While the rest of the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre's Country Megaticket lineup has yet to be announced, this is nevertheless a good time to evaluate what country fans might be able to look forward to this year. Zac Brown Band (Feb. 22) and Keith Urban (Oct. 4) have already booked shows at the Gary.
And this week, another big country name announced a Tampa show: Tim McGraw. Mr. Faith Hill is coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on May 11, according to his website. Brantley Gilbert and Love and Theft will open the show. There is no ticket info just yet; McGraw says he'll announce more details via Tumblr.
This brings us back to the Country Megaticket. Shelton, McGraw and Urban are among the artists whose photos are featured at Megaticket.com, suggesting they might be part of this year's package. Same with Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts with The Band Perry, and Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley. So far, none of those artists have announced 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre shows in 2013, but we wouldn't be surprised if they did. Stay tuned.
***UPDATE*** And now we come to find out Luke Bryan, Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line will all be at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Oct. 25. No details yet, aside from what's posted on Bryan's website.
