UPDATE: Coming Saturday: Cowboy Troy plays Rays Fan Fest at Tropicana Field.

Ten o'clock in the morning seems a little early to us for a concert, but Cowboy Troy probably ain't exactly turning down requests to headline the VMAs these days. We're sure he'll take what he can get, even if it's a slot opening up for Ben Zobrist.

Yes, Saturday is Rays Fan Fest at Tropicana Field, meaning you can check out all your favorite players before they head down to Port Charlotte for Spring Training. Performing and signing autographs is Cowboy Troy, the Muzik Mafia henchman who's most frequently spotted rapping and dancing around Big & Rich. He calls his blend of country and rap "hick-hop," which is preeeeetttty dumb, but he'll be signing autographs for all the kiddies on hand, so we'll let it slide. JUST THIS ONCE, THOUGH.

He's scheduled to appear between 10 a.m. and noon, so get there early. Fan Fest is free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here for all the details on Rays Fan Fest.

And if you're wondering: No word yet who's playing the Rays summer concert series in 2010. We're on the edge of our seats as well. We'll let you know when we hear something.

*** UPDATE ***

Well, we still don't know who will be performing at this year's postcame concerts, but we do have a schedule of when they'll take place. The Rays on Thurday announced an initial lineup of 10 postgame concerts on the following Saturdays (opponents in parentheses):

April 24 (Blue Jays)

May 1 (Royals)

May 15 (Mariners)

May 29 (White Sox)

June 12 (Marlins)

June 26 (Diamondbacks)

July 10 (Indians)

Aug. 14: (Orioles)

Sept. 18 (Angels)

Sept. 25 (Mariners)

Plan accordingly.
