Want to meet Colbie Caillat, The Maine or We the Kings?
As we've mentioned here before, local Top 40 station 93.3-FLZ has been stepping up its game, live music-wise, ever since the Jingle Ball in December. Kris Allen, The Script, Matisyahu, Taio Cruz and Iyaz have all performed smaller station-sponsored shows in recent months. Some are acoustic, some are secret, but all have brought in decent-sized names and artists on the rise.
Now 93.3 is looking to make these performances a little more permanent. The station is building a brand-new on-site performance theater that can seat about 50, and they're breaking it in with a pair of upcoming acoustic concerts.
On April 9, The Maine and We the Kings will swing by to play about 3-4 songs each, then hang out with fans afterward. The time has yet to be determined, but you can enter to win seats by clicking here.
And after that, Colbie Caillat is coming to town April 17 for a concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall (click here for details). That afternoon, she'll swing by the station for an acoustic set of her own -- again, 3-4 songs for about 50 lucky fans. Click here to enter to win seats.
"Our new performance theatre isn't finished yet, but it's functional," said 93.3-FLZ program director Tommy Chuck. "It's going to be a great little room for stuff like this."
