A clutter-free home may be its own reward, but Goodwill Industries-Suncoast is sweetening the pot.

People who drop off items over the next two Saturdays at select Goodwill stores will be entered in the Next Big Donation contest. The person who donates the most stuff — measured by weight — will win a pair of VIP tickets to the 97X Next Big Thing concert on Dec. 5. The all-day alternative rock event will feature 13 bands, including My Chemical Romance, Neon Trees (above), Sick Puppies and Switchfoot.

The winners will get to meet the band of their choice, get an autographed guitar, announce a band on stage — and they’ll even get a Goodwill shopping spree with Danielle of the 97X Morning Show to select an outfit for the event.

Goodwill has already received 9,822 pounds of goods over the last two Saturdays. Items may be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 27 at the Wesley Chapel Goodwill Superstore, on State Road 56 a quarter-mile east of Interstate 75, and at the Goodwill stores in Brandon, Oldsmar and St. Petersburg.
