This weekend: Trombone Shorty, Kevin Eubanks, Dianne Reeves headline Clearwater Jazz Holiday
This weekend marks the return of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, which over the course of more than three decades has brought luminaries like Tito Puenty, Tony Bennett, Dizzy Gillespie and Herbie Hancock to Clearwater's Coachman Park.
This year's lineup is no slouch. Among this year's acts: Trombone Shorty, above, a New Orleans brass virtuoso who appeared in HBO's Treme; Kevin Eubanks, a guitarist and former band leader of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; Dianne Reeves, four-time Grammy winner who sang for the closing ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics; and Maceo Parker, a saxophonist who worked with James Brown and George Clinton's Parliament Funkadelic.
The free event kicks off Thursday in Coachman Park. For all the details, click here for Drew Harwell's preview.
