This weekend, watch out for Rod Stewart in St. Petersburg

Keep an eye out for Rod Stewart this weekend in St. Petersburg.

No, the British crooner doesn’t have a concert at the Mahaffey Theater or anything. He’ll actually be performing at HSN to promote his new album, Fly Me to The Moon … The Great American Songbook, Volume V. Yes, like Diddy, Jewel, and Mary J. Blige, Stewart is turning to the former Home Shopping Network to move merchandise.

Don’t expect to get in — security is tight at HSN, and there will be no audience — but watch for his performance live at 8 p.m. Saturday on HSN. He'll perform songs from the new album as well as from his back catalog. (If you're desperate to get a glimpse of Stewart, a number of HSN guests sometimes stay at the Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg. But you didn't hear it from us.)

In the meantime, go here to check out the album. We were told you're supposed to be able to submit a question Stewart might answer during the show, but we can't figure out how to do it.
