Zac Brown Band coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre in Tampa

Good thing Zac Brown wears that fuzzy knit cap. He might need it, performing outdoors in January, even in Tampa.

The Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band is coming to the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Jan. 28, according to Live Nation. Tickets are $31.50-$57, and they go onsale Saturday. Sonia Leigh and Nic Cowan are also on the bill. Click here.

"Hmmm, Jan. 28," you're wondering. "Is anything else going on that day in Tampa?" Yes, only THE MOST MASSIVE EVENT OF THE YEAR, Gasparilla. But it's not unprecedented to have a gigantic concert in town the same day as the paradin' o' the pirates. Matchbox Twenty and George Strait have taken the stage at the St. Pete Times Forum on Gasparilla night in recent years.

So far we haven't heard of any action at the Forum on Gasparilla night. But if they want to out-draw Zac and company, they'll have their work cut out for them. In the meantime, let's see if we can convince Zac to be this year's parade grand marshal.
