ZZ Top, John Fogerty, Nelly lead inital lineup for Tampa Bay Rays summer concert series

The Tampa Bay Rays announced the initial wave of headliners for this year's Summer Concert Series, and while there's no Ludacris, 3 Doors Down or Daughtry on the schedule, there are still a couple of massive names scheduled to rock the Trop.

ZZ Top, John Fogerty, Hall and Oates, Nelly and the Go-Go's will all play free postgame tickets at Tropicana Field this summer, according to the team. Your ticket to the game doubles as your concert ticket. Buy 'em early, because some of these -- especially ZZ Top, which is an amazing get for the Rays -- will probably sell out early and often.

Need we remind you that the Rays have gone 16-2 in games during the last two years when a concert has followed. (Damn you, Smash Mouth and the Beach Boys!) So there's a lot riding on these postgame concerts.

Here's a list of all the concert dates (all the games are on Saturdays), with the Rays' opponent in parentheses. Expect more headliners to be announced soon for the remaining open dates.

April 24 (Blue Jays): John Fogerty

May 1 (Royals): ZZ Top

May 15 (Mariners): Nelly

May 29 (White Sox): Hall and Oates

June 12 (Marlins):

June 26 (Diamondbacks):

July 10 (Indians): The Go-Go's

Aug. 14: (Orioles):

Sept. 18 (Angels):

Sept. 25 (Mariners):

Plan accordingly.
