Country stars Cole Swindell, Billy Currington, more unite for Orlando shooting benefit concert
A host of country music all-stars are teaming up for a concert benefitting victims of Orlando's Pulse nightclub shooting and their families.
Cole Swindell (above), Billy Currington, Tyler Farr and Easton Corbin are among the big names set to perform at K92.3's Country Strong: Orlando's Night of Healing on June 21 at CFE Arena in Orlando. They'll be joined by Maddie and Tae, Jerrod Niemann, Canaan Smith, Parmlaee and Michael Ray.
"The world’s spinning in a lot of different directions right now," said K92.3 program director Drew Bland, "and we’re going to need a night to gather up, and have a night to connect and come together as a community."
Bland said the event and the lineup came together quickly in the days after the attack -- so quickly, in fact, that he's not even sure how they'll fit all nine acts into one night. It'll be a mostly acoustic show, though many artists are bringing their own bands.
“It’s going to be a real authentic night of music," he said. "As authenhtic as country music"
Tickets start at $20 and up and will benefit the OneOrlando Fund. (Garage parking at the show is $10 and will also be donated.) Click here for all the details.
