Dolly Parton coming to Amalie Arena in Tampa
One of the most iconic performers in music is coming to Tampa for the first time in many, many years.
Dolly Parton has announced plans to bring her first major North American tour in a quarter-century to Tampa's Amalie Arena on Nov. 26. That's two days after Thanksgiving, if you're looking for some family-friendly entertainment for the in-laws.
Parton is one of the most decorated and successful musicians of all time, selling more than 100 million albums and earning more Grammy nominations than any country artist in history. And of course she's an actress, author, TV producer and staggeringly successful entepreneur.
"I'm hoping that people will remember me as more than just a singer or songwriter, but someone that really wanted to help," she told us in an interview last year. "I always pray every day that I can do something to lift up mankind and glorify God."
She's played more intimate shows at Ruth Eckerd Hall in the past decade or so, but nothing this big, and nothing in Tampa, so this should be one not to miss. Tickets to Parton's Amalie Arena show start at $45.75 and go on sale July 22. Click here for details.
