Festivalpocalypse Friday: Gasparilla Music Festival, Wild Splash, Tropical Heatwave all unveil 2016 lineups

Sorry we've been hitting you fast and furious all day (all week, really) with all these festival lineups. It's just, what do you do when so many major musical events unveil their star-studded lineups nearly all at once?

On Friday alone, Tampa's Gasparilla Music Festival and WMNF-88.5 Tropical Heatwave, along with Clearwater's Wild 94.1 Wild Splash, all unveiled their lineups. And that's just the icing on the cake of a week filled with major festival news in Florida and beyond.

If you missed any of Festivalpocalypse Friday, here's a recap:

Gasparilla Music Festival: Erykah Badu will headline the fifth annual Gasparilla Music Festival, alongside Talib Kweli, Charles Bradley and His Extraordinaires, Blitzen Trapper, Houndmouth, MS MR, Savoy, Greensky Bluegrass, the Whiskey Gentry and tons of local acts. At least one more headliner will be added for the festival, March 12-13 at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa. Click here for the full story and lineup.

Wild 94.1 Wild Splash: Lil Wayne will headline this year's Wild 94.1 Wild Splash, which year after year draws upwards of 20,000 fans to Coachman Park in Clearwater. Joining him are Yo Gotti, Lil Dicky, JR Castro, Dougie F and Kodak Black. This year's event is March 5 in Coachman Park. Click here for the details.

WMNF-88.5 Tropical Heatwave: This year's Tropical Heatwave headliners include Ra Ra Riot, James McMurtry, the Bright Light Social Hour, Wreckless Eric, the Mantras and Caravan of Thieves. But the big news might be that Heatwave is moving from its longtime home, the Cuban Club, into "the clubs of Ybor City." This year's fest is April 30. Click here for the full lineup and story.
