Flume coming to Jannus Live in St. Petersburg
The name Flume might not mean much to those who don't follow electronic music. But if you follow the festival industry, you know him.
The Australian producer born Harley Streten made the second line of Sunday's lineup at this year's Coachella poster. He's sitting pretty on the top line of Sunday's lineup at Lollapalooza. He made the third line of the overall poster for May's Hangout Music Festival. Around the world, he's top-line at Splendour in the Grass, third-line at Osheaga, and near the top of the bill at countless other festivals.
And after all of that, he'll embark on a major solo tour -- one that'll hit the relatively intimate Jannus Live on Sept. 11. Tickets to the show start at $29.99, and will go on sale May 12. Click here for details.
Flume is gearing up for the May release of his new album Skin, featuring contributions from the likes of Tove Lo and Vince Staples, and it promises more of his signature slinky, groovy stylings, better suited for chilling out than raving up.
"It’s something I’ve been working on for a while, with an entirely new setup and a few other surprises," he wrote on Facebook. "It’s the biggest tour I’ve ever done."
He's become one of the bigger draws in electronic music, so you'd better snap up tickets to see him in close quarters in St. Pete -- unless you're heading to a major festival this summer, at which case you'll have no doubt seen him already.
