For King and Country's Joel Smallbone talks Christmas songs, uniting a divided nation and more
Grammy-winning Christian duo For King and Country will kick off their first Christmas tour on Tuesday at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa. To hear Joel Smallbone tell it, it just feels like the right time to do it.
"It started when we were on the Winter Jam tour back in February," said Smallbone, who makes up the group with his brother Luke. "We started writing a holiday song or two. There was one we thought could become a real beaut; that had this liturgical sound mixed with a modern Christmas sound. It became our Christmas single Glorious. We've already been playing it at shows and it is received beautifully."
The show, with Lauren Daigle, is at 7 p.m. at the Sun Dome; tickets are $20 and up. Click here for details.
