Gretchen Wilson, Bill Engvall added to SeaWorld's Bands, Brew & BBQ lineup
Kid Rock and Alan Jackson kicked things off. Now Gretchen Wilson and Bill Engvall will try to keep them going.
SeaWorld on Wednesday announced the second round of performers for its annual Bands, Brew & BBQ series, which has been marred by negative publicity and artist dropouts due to its portrayal in the controversial documentary Blackfish.
Country singer Gretchen Wilson (Redneck Woman) will perform on Saturday, and comedian Bill Engvall (Blue Collar Comedy Tour) will take the stage on Sunday. Both shows start at 4 p.m. at the park's Bayside Stadium, and are free with park admission. Click here for details.
The pressure and public interest surrounding these shows has increased to the point where both SeaWorld and its sister park, Busch Gardens, are not announcing their Bands, Brew & BBQ headliners until a few days before the show, in order to minimize public backlash. This week, Busch Gardens announced Jason Derulo, Dickey Betts and Marshall Tucker Band would open its Bands, Brew & BBQ series this weekend.
