All the tastemaking hipsters may love Chris Stapleton these days -- the country singer-songwriter just played Saturday Night Live, he's playing Bonnaroo, and he's nominated for Album of the Year at this year's Grammys.

But do they love him enough to buy a ticket to see him alongside Hank Williams Jr.?

Williams and Stapleton are about to embark on a brief summer co-headlining tour that'll kick off Aug. 5 at Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. Fans can purchase tickets to select cities on this tour starting Jan. 29 as part of Live Nation's Country Megaticket package, but Tampa's Megaticket is not expected to go on sale until February. Individual tickets will go on sale later this year.

Pairing these shaggy country outlaws is an inspired move on Live Nation's part, even if many of Stapleton's newfound fans may not exactly be on board with the rowdy, outspoken Williams. Still, Bocephus has sold more than 70 million albums and is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, so maybe all those country-come-lately fans who are in love with Stapleton's Traveller might actually enjoy digging into Williams' back catalog.

(If they still decide Williams isn't their thing, fear not: Stapleton is also performing at Tampa's Amalie Arena on Jan. 29 as part of the U.S. 103.5 Throwdown By the Bay, alongside Little Big Town and Maddie & Tae.)

A full lineup announcement for Live Nation's Country Megaticket is expected any day now, but it's already getting crowded. This week alone, Darius Rucker and Dierks Bentley have announced Tampa shows. Keith Urban is also coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in June, though it's unclear if he'll be part of the Megaticket lineup.
