Happy 100th birthday, Frank Sinatra: Six artists tackle 'My Way,' their way

Frank Sinatra would've turned 100 on Dec. 12, and the Tampa Bay music scene isn't letting the occasion pass without a party.

A dozen local artists, including Ronny Elliott, Talk to Mark, the Sara Rose Band and Funny Bunny, will cover Sinatra songs in a birthday tribute and celebration organized by WMNF-FM 88.5 at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at Skipper’s Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa. Tickets are $12-$15. Click here for details.

To mark the occasion of the Sinatra centennial, the Tampa Bay Times asked six Tampa Bay artists to cover one of his most iconic songs, My Way, in a style of their choosing. Our faux Franks: Cabaret specialists Paul Wilborn and Eugenie Bondurant; power-lounge quintet Vodkanauts; teenage folk duo AB+; experimental singer-songwriter Green Light Cameras; Sinatra fan (and veteran Hillsborough County planner) Ray Chiaramonte; and Sinatra impersonator Don Juceam.

Lara Cerri put together the video of each of them covering My Way in their own unique styles. Check it out. And click here to read our story about it.
