Iron Maiden's Book of Souls tour coming to Tampa
Iron Maiden is extending its Book of Souls World Tour and coming to Tampa this summer.
The British heavy metal heroes will play Amalie Arena on June 11 at 7:30 p.m., continuing the tour behind their 2015 double album The Book of Souls, which kicked off last year in Florida.
Wondering what to expect? Here's a description from the news release that cites a review from Revolver:
"'From a walking zombie towering over band members during the set, to being featured on a host of back-drops and huge blow-up figures — the quintessential symbol was omnipresent for the entire show' including Eddie having his heart literally ripped out of his chest and hurled into the crowd by singer Bruce Dickinson!"
The equally theatrical Swedish group Ghost is scheduled to open the show.
Tickets, priced at $39.50, $49.50, $79.50 and $99.50, go on sale Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Details here.
