Jason Isbell coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater
It's not easy to upstage acts like Mumford and Sons, the Avett Brothers and Future. But if you ask me, I'd say Jason Isbell stole Day 3 of March's Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival.
Fresh off his first Grammy wins for Best Americana Album (Something More Than Free) and Best American Roots Song (24 Frames), Isbell breezed into Okeechobee and delivered a heartbreaking set of country-tinged folk and rock, crushing heart-wrenching songs like Use Me For Good, Speed Trap Town and Decoration Day.
So we're considering his upcoming concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall a must-see.
The Alabama native (and former Drive-By Trucker) is coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Oct. 19, he announced Friday. Technically, it'll be his second show there this year -- he popped in to perform with John Prine and wife Amanda Shires in January -- but his first local headlining gig since last May at the Capitol Theater.
