Jay Leno, Katharine McPhee, Michael McDonald lead revamped Capitol Theatre's concert lineup
When it reopens in December following $7 million in renovations, Clearwater’s Capitol Theatre will look a lot different. So will its concert calendar.
Ruth Eckerd Hall, which manages the historic city-owned venue, on Monday unveiled a huge slate of concerts and comedy performances coming to the revamped Capitol, including shows by soul-pop legends Michael McDonald and Michael Bolton, American Idol and Smash star Katharine McPhee and Jay Leno, who will perform there on Feb. 9, just three days after his final Tonight Show.
The venue is scheduled to reopen in mid-December with shows by McDonald (Dec. 18), comedian Sinbad (Dec. 19) and a holiday show by Rockapella (Dec. 20).
