Jeremy Rosado talks 'American Idol,' Jennifer Lopez and embracing Christian pop
Before appearing on American Idol in 2012, Valrico native Jeremy Rosado worked at a doctor’s office.
Today, after placing 13th in the singing competition, Rosado earns his living making music. His first single, the contemporary Christian song Don’t Be Afraid, hit airwaves in March, debuting on both Christian and mainstream radio. On Saturday, Rosado, 21, will celebrate the EP release of his first album with a party and concert at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon.
"It’s been crazy," Rosado said about his life since American Idol. "Idol is life changing no matter where you place in the competition. As soon as I got home I started working, making music, doing shows around the country and locally. Music is my full-time job now. I do concerts, appearances and national anthems."
