Kings of Leon coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa
It's been four long years since Kings of Leon's last local concert. It wouldn't have been nearly that long, but the Grammy-winning group nearly imploded on the eve of a 2011 tour stop in Tampa, canceling their entire tour and eventually nearly disbanding for good.
Now that they're back with a new album, Mechanical Bull, and are seemingly on steady footing once more, Kings of Leon are ready to return to Tampa, with a show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. They'll play there on Sept. 5, according to Live Nation; tickets are $29.50-$59.50 and they'll go on sale May 9. Click here for details.
In typical Kings of Leon fashion, they're bringing a pair of excellent opening acts -- Young the Giant, who recently sold out Jannus Live, and Kongos, who have a rising alt-rock hit in Come With Me Now and are set to play the 97X Backyard BBQ on May 16.
