Loretta Lynn coming to the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg
You're running out of time to see some of country music's biggest legends.
You might know that 80-year-old Willie Nelson recently performed at Ruth Eckerd Hall, but that was only after an original concert date was postponed due to illness. Perhaps you know that George Jones performed at the Lakeland Center in February, just a couple of months before his passing. Merle Haggard was at the Mahaffey Theater in February, and Alabama will be at Ruth Eckerd Hall in July.
So here's another one to put on your calendar: Loretta Lynn is coming to the Mahafffey Theater on Sept. 14. The original Coal Miner's Daughter is celebrating 50 years in music with a tour this fall, and her St. Pete tour stop promises not only hits like Fist City and One's On The Way, but maybe even a couple of songs from her Grammy-winning Jack White collaboration Van Lear Rose.
Tickets to Lynn's Mahaffey Theater show start at $29.50 and they go onsale June 7. Click here to get them.
The only downside? Sept. 14 is already shaping up to be one of our most difficult concert-logjam days in recent memory, with Depeche Mode at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre and Steely Dan at Ruth Eckerd Hall. You can't go wrong with any of those shows, but you might want to see Lynn this time, just in case.
